South Western
Individual collaborative site visits with 14 councils in the South West region have been carried out. These focused on identifying initial opportunities for efficiency gains based on benchmarking data, emerging good practice and performance measures around the Assessment and Care Management process and related opportunities for implementation of additional CSED products and workstreams.
The second regional workshop took place on the 3 May, attended by 11 councils. Bristol and B&NES presented case studies of the work they had undertaken on the assessment and care management process which provided a detailed resource analysis of the process and demonstrated potential efficiencies and cash savings. The presentations were well received by the other regional councils keen to make use of shared learning on this important agenda.
Based on the individual visits and the regional event, a matrix of councils priority needs and issues has been drawn up. The key areas of interest included
